Aimee Kilgore

Aimee Kilgore

Coach Kilgore is in her third year at Guyer and is the girls head coach. Aimee is from Amarillo, Texas and grew-up with a strong West Texas basketball influence and philosophy. She played basketball in high school at Canyon-Randall and in college at Angelo State University. Coach Kilgore is certified in Special Education, Physical Education and Family and Consumer Science. She teaches Dollars and Sense, as well as Partner PE. She loves that every day she gets to come to work where the bottom-line is the “KIDS!”

Prior to joining the Lady Wildcat coaching staff, Coach Kilgore spent 19 years working in corporate America in various management roles. She is the proud wife of Hobert Kilgore III, a Special Education teacher and girls coach at Crownover MS, and mom to Kason and Braydon. AND, the daughter of an amazing MOM, Cathy Roberts, who can be found at any gym Guyer is playing in with Braydon not far behind.

Lisa Williams

Lisa Williams

Lisa Williams is in her 18th year of coaching, and her first at Guyer High School. She is a native of Amarillo, Texas where she played for and graduated from Amarillo High School. She played collegiate basketball at Odessa College, and later at the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP) majoring in Business Management. After a few years in banking, Coach Williams began her coaching career in Amarillo, Texas before moving to Denton, Texas. At Guyer, Coach Williams will teach Physical Education and coach Lady Wildcat Basketball.

James Nervis

James Nervis

Coach James Nervis is originally from Houston, Texas, and entering his tenth year as a Teacher, and thirteenth season as a Coach. He is a graduate of Madisonville High School (1994) where he was Blessed to attain 2nd Team All-District Honors averaging 10 ppg. He also played semi-professionally in 2001 for To God Be The Glory Basketball. This is his first year at Guyer High School, and he is excited to be a part of the Wildcat family!

As a Teacher, he enjoys making a difference every day in the classroom and assist students’ academic performance in the areas of reading, writing and comprehension. He prides himself on meeting students where they are, and encouraging them to push past their limits and set challenging, attainable goals.

As a Coach, he has served as an assistant and head coach for Men’s and Women’s Basketball, as well as Track and Field. In April 2014, he lead La Joya Community High School (Phoenix, AZ.) to its first Track and Field District Championship. During the 2015-2016 basketball season, he lead Mountain Pointe HS (Phoenix, AZ.) Women’s Basketball to a Bi-District Championship over Perry HS, and lost a heartbreaking 5-point game to 6A powerhouse Millennium HS in the Area game.

He attributes his success in Coaching to having a firm belief in Jesus Christ, a loving and supportive family and excellent assistants.

Kelly Folsom


Coach Folsom is in her first year of coaching at Guyer High School. Prior to moving to Denton, Kelly grew up in Oklahoma and played collegiate basketball at Connor’s State Junior College before finishing her basketball career at Oklahoma State University. Kelly is entering her 16th year of teaching Elementary Physical Education in Denton ISD. Coach Folsom is passionate about working with students of all ages and helping them reach their goals.

Erin Hardin


Coach Harden is a native of Lake Dallas, 3 yr lettermen in basketball and volleyball. She attended Texas Women’s University, receiving a bachelor of Science in Community Health. After college she was hired as a teacher aid, working at Ann Windle, Wilson, and Pecan Creek elementary. In 2007 McMath Middle School where she taught 6th grade science and coached volleyball, basketball, and track. In 2012, Coach Harden joined the wildcat family as a freshmen basketball and volleyball coach. She was later promoted to varsity assistant and for the last year 1 has been interim head coach for Guyer Volleyball.
